1) Who We Are

Sole Proprietor (FOP) Babmyndra Oleksandr Oleksandrovych (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates VeganPro (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect and process personal data when you use the Service.

2) Data We Collect

• Account data: email, authentication identifiers, and basic profile settings.
• User content: recipes you create/save, notes, likes, meal logs, and any images you upload.
• Preferences: language, dietary preferences, and goals you set in the app.
• Usage & diagnostics: basic app interactions and diagnostics needed to operate and troubleshoot the Service (e.g., error reports, performance signals).
• Device/technical data: device type, OS version, app version, and IP address (typically via server logs).
• Subscriptions (App Store + RevenueCat): subscription status (active/expired), entitlement state, product identifiers, and transaction/receipt-related data needed to validate purchases and unlock premium features. We do not receive your full payment card details. Payments are handled by Apple (App Store).

3) How We Use Data

• Provide and maintain the Service (login, syncing, saving recipes, restoring purchases).
• Generate meal plans/recipes and personalize content.
• Operate subscriptions and premium access (purchase validation, entitlement checks).
• Improve features, fix bugs, and monitor reliability.
• Communicate with you (support requests, important service notices).
• Prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.

4) Legal Bases (where applicable)

Depending on your location, we process data under one or more legal bases such as:

• Contract: to provide the Service you request (including subscription functionality).
• Legitimate interests: to improve, secure, and maintain the Service.
• Consent: where required (for example, where optional permissions or similar controls apply).
• Legal obligation: where we must comply with applicable laws.

5) How We Share Data

We share data only as needed to operate the Service:

• Infrastructure / database (Processor): hosting and database providers including Supabase (EU region).
• Subscriptions (Processor): RevenueCat to manage and validate App Store purchases, keep subscription/entitlement status, and support purchase restoration. This may include your App User ID (linked to your VeganPro account), product identifiers, and receipt/transaction data required for purchase validation.
• App Store purchases: Apple processes payments and provides purchase/transaction information required to complete and restore in-app purchases. We do not receive your full card details.
• AI provider (Processor): OpenAI to provide AI-assisted features (see Section 6).
• Legal/Compliance: if required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety.
• Business changes: if we undergo a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, data may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not sell your personal data.

6) AI Processing

When you request AI-assisted features (e.g., recipe or plan generation), relevant inputs (such as preferences, constraints, and recipe text) may be sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) to generate output. We use this strictly to provide the feature.

• Do not submit sensitive personal data in free-text fields.
• AI outputs may be inaccurate; always verify ingredients and allergens.
• No training on your content (API): we do not opt in to have OpenAI train models on our API inputs/outputs. OpenAI may retain API content for limited periods for abuse monitoring, per their policies.

7) Cookies & Similar Technologies

VeganPro is an iOS app. Cookies are generally not used in the native app experience. If you use our PWA/web version, it may use cookies and/or local storage that are necessary for core functionality (for example, authentication/session and storing preferences). We do not use advertising cookies.

8) Data Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above:

• Account and saved content: retained while your account is active.
• Diagnostics / server logs: retained for a limited period as needed to operate and secure the Service.
• Subscription records: retained as needed to manage access, restore purchases, and comply with legal/accounting requirements.
• If you request deletion, we delete or anonymize data unless legal obligations require retention.

9) Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

• Access, correct, or delete your data.
• Object to or restrict processing.
• Withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent).
• Data portability (where applicable).

10) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

11) Children’s Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us to request deletion.

12) International Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than where you live, depending on where our vendors operate. For example, we use Supabase in the EU, but some processors (such as AI providers or subscription tooling) may process data outside the EU. Where required, we take steps to use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

13) Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice (e.g., in-app notice). The “Effective date” indicates when it applies.
